dmxratedChelle has put together an animated gif just last night for me to use as my group icon for The Beehive. Was going to make it one of my userpics (to replace Makenro, whom I have not much use for), but then I remembered that Cameron has already stated that she'd rather not see Mai with a beehive.
Originally, to celebrate the opening of my group, and also to satisfy any future desires I might have for such pics, I was going to host a contest through Point Commissioners where participants would be given someone whose hair to do up, depending on their personal art style but otherwise randomly, and maybe give a 400-point bonus to whoever does the best job. Managed to compile a list of 30 titles in total, but after a bit of discussion with Chelle, I decided that such a thing should probably wait until I'm making money with which to buy points, and with that said, maybe it could be held to commemorate that instead.
Soon as I have a job, I am so gonna ask Chelle for more edit-pics like those. Hopefully, screenshots will be viable then, since we'll just be dealing with regular artwork instead of icons. And if any characters I want happen to be from anything fanservice-heavy, I'll seek out some pics for her, so that she doesn't have to dig through stuff she doesn't like herself, will crop them if necessary, and will make them available only through request (if even that).

Anyway, it's been so frickin' hot these past couple of days. I've hardly been up to doing much besides chatting with Chelle, reading The Far Side, and gathering pics for my group. Mom tried using the shower curtains and some bedsheets to keep the living and dining rooms cool, and treated me and herself to ice cream at Dunkin' Donuts.
DeviantArt member MoLoveAnime had gotten started on the Lucky Star beehive oneshot, predicted to me it would take up to a week, and then finished it on the same day. Alerted me right before me and Mom left the house, I paid her her due points, intending to actually read it when we got back. (Would be insulting to her if she found out I read the note without paying her, since there is a way to tell on the site.)
While we were there, Mom got some kind of cone, and I got a cup of Jamoca Almond Fudge w/ M&M's, Reese's Pieces, and hot fudge. Waited till we got home (only a stone's throw from there) before I started eating mine, and on the way there, since I was almost tempted to ask for gummy bears as well (which I probably shouldn't have on ice cream anyway, given how tough they are to chew), Mom told me that usually, something tastes better when it only has one or two toppings, than when it's got some of everything. Now that she mentions that, yeah, flavors do tend to adulterate one another when too many of them are combined.
Anyway, had my ice cream, and then gave the fic a read. Pointed out a whole laundry list of mistakes (mostly grammatical) upon reading it a second time, but she did say that English is her second language while also making the specified corrections.

In any case, the fic has pretty much fulfilled its purpose of bringing this pic to life. All we need now are some pics of Hiyori, Ayano, and Kuroi-sensei, and maybe a comic with which to actually see everything happening (albeit in still images).
