Jun. 24th, 2005 06:45 amYesterday, I finally beat Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The ending wasn't much unique, even though I went out of my way to collect all seven Chaos Emeralds.
I also got my Mon Colle Knights video. Actually, there were two packages in the mailbox, and mine was one of them. When I asked Mom to order it (my CDJapan account doesn't work anymore), she asked me if I was sure the tape would be compatible with our VCR. I said I was, although I really wasn't, but I also said that if it doesn't work, I would look for an all-region VCR. But what do you know, I was accidentally right.
I skipped all the way to the last episode to see what became of Midori, but she never appeared once. I contacted Pokemegan1 to ask if she was added into the dub, but she, too, said that TV Tome made a mistake. That's such a waste of artistic talent, unless Hideaki Nishikawa actually did intend to give fanboys like me someone to lust over. She might as well have been a sample character in a drawing book.
Well, I'm not as obsessed with her now as I was days ago, and I'm not going to put my life into her like I did with the show itself. However, if I were to buy the rights to MCK and continue their lifelines (which I doubt I will), I would say that she was on an anthropological trip to New York the while the series was taking place. The manga said she left the family because they never spend enough quality time together, but divorce usually means both parents will find someone else.
Moving on, the library finally received some Japanese dictionary that I requested.
