Nov. 21st, 2011 06:01 amWas hoping Chelle would offer some input on Saturday's entry, but that's no big deal. Even though she isn't familiar with Earthbound or Lucky Star, she said she could try to help me develop some kind of story. Would've emailed her, but there isn't enough else to warrant an email right now, so I'm probably gonna wait for Jake to refine the entire prologue for Monster Collection Chronicles first.
Right now, the plan is this: Play through Earthbound, play Mother 3 once and for all, check out Arn's Winter Quest: Gway Edition (an EB hack, mainly for enemies to implement), and then check out the completely unrelated Adventure of Hourai High to see how I might set the quest up. (The adventure itself is going to be entirely original.)
Anyway, here's something that occurred to me yesterday:
With any girl eligible for a beehive, the means (if not voluntary) usually involves some kind of magical crystal. By coincidence, during the beginning of Earthbound, Buzz Buzz, a bee-like creature, gives you a magical stone during the last moments of his life.
(You'll get it if you let it sink in for a moment.)

Date: 2019-07-15 06:56 pm (UTC)How am I supposed to help you develop a story when you haven't even decided on a plot? The entry was entirely about wondering what you wanted to do with the fic, there wasn't anything technical to comment on.

Date: 2019-07-15 06:57 pm (UTC)As far as the plot does go, I do know that it will involve plot coupons, each most likely with their own arc. Whether the girls will remain in Japan the whole time (possible imaginary worlds notwithstanding), visit another physical world part of the time, or even visit other countries along the way, I have yet to decide. Jake did suggest something about a zombie crisis in Tokyo (an idea which he derived from Shaman King), which could be an equivalent of sorts to EB's Threed chapter.
Anyway, we can talk about it further after I decide how to handle the exploration aspect. Okay?
