dmxratedDad had to go upstate yesterday, and wouldn't be home until late in the evening. Mom decided when she got home from work that we go get a pizza for dinner after running some errands, since it was just me and her.
Went to Dad's workshop to feed the cats. Blackie stuck around near Mom while she was feeding him, and I actually managed to pick him up. Only briefly, though, because he happens to be stronger than Mabel and too hard to hold in position (for that matter, so was Grandma Barbara's cat Sid last time we visited her).
Went to Waldbaum's after we finished things up at the shop, and then ordered pizza from some parlor that we had never been to before. The garlic knots that the served us were different from the ones we usually get at La Marguerita. Mom also thought the pizza was rather lukewarm when we started eating it, and heated up several uneaten slices and the garlic knot I would be eating for the night. I didn't think anything was that bad, though.

Last night, I had this dream about playing Mother 3. Like, I was playing as Lucky from Earthbound's Runaway Five, and came across a kangaroo and a dog... in Onett (also from EB). Upon checking the former, a message said "This kangaroo still serves in the army." I then found a key, and next thing I knew, I myself was inside the game, along with my old aide Mrs. Bandows, and we were doing some exploration with Salsa, eventually being led into some factory/warehouse/whatever, and I still didn't know where I was supposed to use the key.
Considering that Chelle and I had reached a dead end when we last attempted to plot out the first chapter of the Lucky Star fic, I think the above-described dream might be a source to draw ideas from. Not verbatim, but the actual chapter could involve finding a mysterious key and exploring an abandoned factory or something. (Exactly where the key would actually need to be used would remain unknown for the chapter.)
