Dec. 25th, 2011 05:24 amDecided to continue playing Angry Birds after all, but I did manage to write a couple of letters and get back to Chelle.
Also went out with Brian and Marie to eat lunch at the same bagel place we went to last year, and also to do a bit of shopping at a few places. Got a sesame bagel w/ cream cheese, a Nesquik, and something called a rumpapa, which is something like an eclair. Didn't really like it, because it was dripping with some thin liquid that looked like it separated from the cream, and it was mostly bread or whatever the non-cream stuff was.
Anyway, about Angry Birds...
First thing's first, I noticed that there were three bonus levels in Season's Greedings, which you need codes to unlock. As it turns out, though, you were supposed to get the codes at an event Toys 'R' Us or Barnes & Noble, which had already taken place on the 11th of this month. That pretty much means I missed out, but three levels isn't really a big deal. Besides, I had been planning on playing the downloadable version (which probably doesn't even have them), and even though Angry Birds has been such a smash hit, somehow, it didn't occur to me that Rovio would be hosting events for in-game content similar to those for Pokemon.
(Of course, I might be able to look the codes up online, but that would be kinda lame.)
Anyway, I've also decided to try out the Mighty Eagle, since you can win feathers for "Total Destruction" on each level. While I was in the middle of kicking ass, it turns out that episode Danger Above had been opened mid-day, so I decided to continue the normal game with that.
For the most part, I intend to leave any scores I get in each level intact. But, at some point, I plan on playing through everything again, in both the Chrome and downloadable Windows versions, that time to make a record of what's left intact, how many birds were used, and each time the Mighty Eagle is summoned.
1) Play through each level.
2) If things look desperate, use up all but the last remaining birds, and then summon the Mighty Eagle.
3) If the chances of winning look good, just go for it. If I lose, just move on.
4) Mark down which structures and what kinds of loot are still intact and whether I won or lost, how many birds remain, whether the eagle was summoned, and both my previous and new high scores.
5) Move onto the next level.
