dmxratedWent with Brian and Marie to the bagel place, and got myself a brownie topped with M&Ms. They suggested I save at least half for later, and I ate only a quarter.
Later on, the two of them went to Brooklyn to spend the night with Jacob. I stayed up at home to tune in to the countdown as well. Mom and Dad slept until I woke them up, but I spent the next hour or so reading volume 4 of Lucky Star. After I finished, I still had half an hour to kill, so I had a shower and did various small chores to pass the time.
Mom told me that the countdown would be taking place on all channels, so I just turned the TV on without bothering to look for New York. The channel I happened to be watching was showing what was going on in Austin, so there was no ball to watch; just one song being performed by Coldplay (after I tuned in, of course) before the countdown began. Dad was already up when the countdown began, but Mom was still coming out of her room while it took place.

Jake had emailed me several pics yesterday, and I responded by saying that I hope he'll draw Ellen or Mai at some point. This morning, he told me that he thinks he's ready for either of them, but also stated that he will not draw enlarged noses or ears. Also mentioned hair "like that". He did tell me before that he doesn't really care for Jirachi-style hair, but I'll understand if he means any type of updo. (Just writing this down so that I don't forget and ask him for something he won't do, since I've already made that mistake with Chelle a year ago.)
Also thinking of coming back to Parasitic Trio one of these days. Right now, though, I'm on a pretty good roll with Japanese in Mangaland, now that I've ditched the exercises.
