The afternoon before yesterday, we heard two military fighter jets pass above our neighborhood. It was loud enough to catch my attention while I was working on Kanji in Context, and I came out in time to see the second one pass overhead.

Went with Mom to someone's house yesterday to disassemble and take home a bed that she bought for Marie on Craigslist.

Started playing Mega Man 2 this morning, now that I've completed five kanji lessons since completing the first game. Already, I've managed to defeat both Crash Man and Metal Man before getting my fourth game over thus far.

If there's one thing I would question, it would be about having to clear a particular stage in order to get a given tool. I understand this is also true in later games with add-ons for Rush, and also for the Silberflügels in Rozenkreuzstilette.

Some might argue that this is not all that different from having to find stuff within certain stages, such as the Magnet Beam in Elec Man's stage in MM1 (and you need the Super Arm in order to actually obtain it, no less). However, since each weapon is also only accessible by defeating its respective wielder, it would've been more interesting if you just got the transport tools by clearing a set number of any stages instead of one in particular. Such would also put less pressure on you to clear the levels in a particular order, and even with the whole rock-paper-scissors gimmick with the weapons in place, isn't that the whole point of being able to select your own path?
