dmxratedIt's been just slightly more than exactly a year since nanashi-no blocked me. Thanks to sonicthemeatball, I am finally able to communicate with her again.
What happened, was that I Googled "DeviantArt blocked unfairly", looking for places to share my story about what happened a year ago, making a point of also mentioning how ironic it is that she hadn't blocked over 800 other people that she's friends with at the drop of a hat. Found a thread about unfair blocking that stm started, which had since been blocked, and noticed that he mentioned that he has convinced others who blocked friends of his own to unblock them. I sent him a note explaining the issue, and he had a word with her.
According to him, she blocked me because I kept asking for a pic that she refused to work on. I explained my side of the story regarding the last straw, and asked him to relay it to her.
Just yesterday morning, not having heard from either of them, I asked stm to check his Sent Items to see whether nanashi-no already read the relayed message or not. I later checked nanashi's userpage, expecting to still be blocked, but that turned out not to be the case. Sent stm another message saying that everything was good now, and nanashi one thanking her for unblocking me and telling her about Job Offers (which I launched two months after she blocked me; also sent her an invite to the group). Would be using Sugar's pic for this entry if she were a bit more talkative, but she said nothing and didn't bother joining the group. Not that I really blame her.

By the way, stm is also running a group called DontDiscriminate, petitioning for members' rights not to be blocked based on race or other things, or otherwise for unfair reasons or no reason at all. I joined the group and showed it to Chelle, but she said that the staff already have a hard enough time keeping up with art theft and probably won't answer something like that.

So anyway, let's review my history with nanashi-no and what I've got on mind for her now:
The first two pics, of Saga and Milfeulle, were not for her specifically. I was actually looking through Anime Commissions for anyone who'd be interested in drawing giantess pics of Saga Bergman, Haruhi Suzumiya, Rokuna Hiragi, and the Galaxy Angel girls, in exchange for points. It was actually how I met nanashi in the first place.
Next was the Parasitic Trio pic. This one is the pic that the first conflict involved. Enough said.
Shortly after reconciling with her, I asked for a redraw of Saga, and also a scene from Mondo & Rokuna's BIG Date. The former we already know enough about. With the latter, she didn't seem to mind, even after I asked for Rokuna's bust size to be larger than in canon (along with both of them being aged up a few years), specifying something around that of Mikuru Asahina. In retrospect, there probably wasn't anything really special about it. I think what it was, is that I didn't really feel like looking around for others to take it up, when I had someone who could have matched all different anime styles and would accept a fairly small amount of points. This was a few months before I launched Job Offers, and at the time, I wasn't willing to do business through PayPal. Either way, I don't think I'll be asking her for that one again, especially since I did ask for such a pic publicly through Point Commissioners.
As of right now, what I'd like is a pic of Shiori and Kaori Misaka, both as giantesses. While I do have Job Offers to ask for stuff through, not everyone is capable of capturing the ethereal feel of Kanon, given their art style. Admittedly, Chelle would be, and also has the advantage of having seen the anime (not sure about nanashi), but I've already assigned her something else that I'd like done on a certain date, and she also said that February will be the next window for commissioning her. In any case, I guess I'll ask for this after I've completed book 1 of Kanji in Context (which I'm almost done with at this point).
But, to conclude this entry, this isn't just about artwork. For one thing, at the very least, I wanted to know why she blocked me in particular, when she didn't do the same to so many other dA members. But, there's also the fact that it was right after a few of the most nostalgic days of last year, when we visited Dad's extended family in Virginia, that I discovered that I even was blocked. The fact that I assumed she was still open, and had contacted her a day or so before we headed there, asking her to contact me through the site instead of through email if she had anything to say regarding the third draft of Saga's pic, only made the blow harder still.

(February is the next time I'll be working on work that I've obtained between now and then, not the only time I'll be accepting work.)

Date: 2019-07-16 08:51 am (UTC)I've also always been interested in actually seeing each of the Knights with their respective weapons, even if they're not actually battling at the moment. Would normally ask publicly for that, except that Cult still has yet to get anywhere past the prologue. Since I can't guarantee how far that fic will get within even the next whole year, let alone by February, those can wait for everything else first. Especially since I would want to see pics for all twelve of them once one of them is completed. (After all, an incomplete set is arguably worse than nothing.)
If I think of anything else, I'll let you know either then or when you're ready to work on commissions.

Yuka: twin tails similar to Hatsune Miku, or Lovrina from Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness
Chiharu: completely free
Misao: braid
Nanako: narrow ponytail
Izumi: ponytail fanning out in spikes
For Mondo's pic, I'll accept any setting of your choice. However, his eyes very much should look something like this. Would also like Kaede to be present, and Mondo should be currently oblivious to who she really is. Unless you'd like me to specify a description for her, you are free to draw her however you'd picture her, but I would like her to be depicted as an adult and her hair to be a dark shade of brown (not nearly black, though).
(On this note, I know that Saya no Uta is a hentai title, which you don't like, but the explicit stuff is actually pretty minimal. The person hosting a playthrough of the translated version also uses Notepad boxes to block out any nudity that comes up. If you'd still rather not check it out, though, I'll understand.)
