dmxratedLess than a month ago, I asked several of the library staff a couple of times why the library has never even received September's issue of Nintendo Power, let alone October's as well. The tags didn't say "exp", which would have meant that their subscription expired. They since agreed to look into it.
Yesterday, Mom was running a few errands, and stopped at the library on the way home. As it turns out, their subscription had indeed expired, and while one of the ladies there did offer to pay for a partial subscription, she wasn't given permission to. However, they did let her take all the issues they had from Jan/Feb this year onward (volumes 275-281), albeit with all the back covers removed so that they don't set off the theft alarm. (What's done is done, but if you ask me, they could have probably just checked them out and then removed it from their database.)
Regarding the final four volumes, Mom and I have agreed that she will order an individual copy each in December, mainly so that at least I can still read the end through of what was an important staple of my childhood.
