dmxratedFirst of all, we thought Comet Tempel was supposed to be impacted last night, but it actually took place night before last night. Yesterday, we read about it in Newsday, and Dad advised me to look it up online. That's exactly what we did.
This year, instead of going out to see fireworks, me, Mom, Dad, and Grandma Ella went to see the movie The War of the Worlds. However, Brian and Marie were with their friends instead. While we were returning to the car, some girl called my name. I asked her if she knew me from somewhere, and she said she works with me at McDonald's.
After we came back home, Dad took out a few small fireworks onto the driveway for me and Mom to see. There were no explosions, though. That's probably what we're saving for Brian and Marie tonight.
