Received Kira tto Kaiketsu today. Of course, before I start playing that at any point, I'm gonna need to translate the manual, since there's no online walkthrough for that game. Right now, I don't feel like doing that, or pretty much anything for that matter, so the plan is still Angry Birds, soon as I hear back from Brian regarding sound installation.
Also got one battle to write out for Jake, which would have originally taken place off-page in Parasitic Trio. I already promised him that before I do anything else, and it's a good thing he's on vacation for a week, because the next couple of days are gonna be a bit tense.
Dad told me that that load of lumber he ordered is actually due to come tomorrow morning. Gee, thanks. Mornings are the time of day that I'm most ready to begin anything, and thinking that it was gonna come today, this one would've been too tense for me to focus on anything.
Also, I've got the feeling that what Dad wants me to do is gonna be for some number of hours each day, like a regular job. Last night, he told me some stuff about giving him a solid number of hours of work in exchange for money, just like if I were working an actual job. This morning, I asked him what he planned on having me do, and he said he'll "think of something". He did say it would be regular stuff, so I'll at least hear him out if he brings it up again.
If we were talking about a standalone chore, I'd be fine with that, but that's not what this sounds like so far. If he needs me to do some kind of project for him, like when me and Brian dug that trench for him back in '03, I'm willing to do that too, but then again, I'm sure he would have had it already planned out if that were the case.
Where this seems to be going, I hope he forgets all about it over the next couple of days. I do recall him having me and Brian sand wood for the catboat for some number of hours each day during at least half the summer of 2000. If what we're getting into is anything like that, then I'm gonna decline, especially since he did say that he's not gonna twist my arm (f)or anything. That is not what I spent five and a half years going to college for. If I wanted to work some kind of trade, I would have gone to a vocational school instead after graduating from high school. After all the time I've been bogged down with schoolwork and just barely able to fit my own shit around all of it (being too tired to even bother a good bit of the time), the only kind of job I will settle for is either an office job or nothing.
