Had this dream two nights ago, where the party in Starbound sails out to the middle of a sea somewhere in northern Europe and has to fight a giant whale. This might just apply to the actual fic, in which it would be some kind of oracle who gives them some words of wisdom first, before testing their strength.

I know. This sounds kinda like the Kraken battle between Summers and Scaraba, but it also has a basis in the Sonic fic Ancient Ways, Ancient Evils, where all the supporting characters in that one set out to see to meet one of four elemental guardians.
