Bought these two posters on Ebay that we used to own back in '94, advertising various games for the Genesis, Game Gear, and Sega CD. Striving to unlock all those GG games has made me nostalgic for the first two-year period when Sonic the Hedgehog was such a major part of my life, back when everyone was designed more simply than since Sonic Adventure, Eggman was known here as Robotnik, and items were stored inside TV sets or computers instead of bubbles. Would've probably loved to play other games outside the main series, but I do understand that certain games only came here either at the end of that time, a whole year afterwards, or through compilations for later systems.

Of the games showcased on either of those posters, if I end up getting a Nintendo 3DS for Christmas, I might download Crystal Warriors and Defenders of Oasis onto the Virtual Console. (Would also consider Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, the only non-Sonic game I used to own for the Game Gear, should that get released at some point.)

Just managed a few hours ago to complete the entire Mission mode in Sonic Adventure DX. (Current emblem count, meanwhile, is at 88 of 130.)

Nothing explicit here, but Mom just asked me how Viagra of all things came up during a phone call with Grandma Barbara yesterday. That, actually, stems from one point where she asked me about my recent Costco interviews (had one at the Holbrook store just the other day), where she commented how I'll be able to make some money to shop with should I land a position. I told her that I'd more likely save it in the bank to pay for artwork, and she asked me if that pertains to my fanfiction. I told her that a lot of it is just fetish fulfillment that I shouldn't divulge to her. She then went on to mention how one tends to stop caring about stuff that used to turn them on as they get old, and along with that being where the Viagra reference comes in, I mentioned how people's health in general deteriorates, how I once overheard Dad saying on the phone how he hopes not to live to 80, and on the other hand, how healthy she herself is for someone her age (to have lived long enough to see all her children pass 60, even though she's become physically frail over time and can't go on long walks or bowl anymore).

Children over 60

Just FYI your grandma has to live a few more years to see all her children over 60. Your aunt Tracy in California is not 60 for 5 or 6 more years. I guess Grandma will have to stay around a bit longer!
