Dec. 11th, 2016 05:20 pmGrandma had her Brits Club party today. Ray took me and Dad out to eat at this diner called Twisted Pig, where David was rigging up some Christmas lights, while that was going on.
The three of us went to David's house to check out his new work shed (too small to be called a shop, but it does serve the same purpose), and then just to ride around town before coming back after the party ended. During the ride, Dad told him all kinds of things about disregard for the environment back in the 1960s, such as how a lace mill where his father worked at would discharge chemicals freely into a pool, and how businesses and jobs like that nowadays get outsourced to places like Taiwan and the Philippines where they can be carried out more cheaply.
