Aug. 14th, 2018 06:14 amTold Mom during a conversation on our way to Meat Farms yesterday, that I was getting ready to continue the Starbound chapter, which will now involve visits to the Palace of Origin and the fountain to the west. She asked me what's supposed to happen at the palace, and I answered that the guards will give them a riddle to answer before they can proceed (as per Earthbound Zero), and they will instead pay a visit to the fountain while pondering the answer. She told me that this sounds like these old point-and-click games such as Eco Quest 1 and 2 that we used to have for DOS, but I then told her that Earthbound Zero, being an NES RPG, is actually more like these Apple II games such as Think Quick! and the original Oregon Trail that we used to play at the library, though somewhat superior. She then asked if I still have my old NES (actually my Super NES), which I still do, although I don't have Earthbound itself anymore. She also asked if it's possible to re-obtain that, and while hard copies are pretty expensive, ROM copies are easy to find, and the game itself was also released for the Wii U and 3DS Virtual Consoles and included in the Super NES Classic Edition.
Showed her some footage of Magicant itself when we got home, since this topic did also come up just recently.
