dmxratedWent with Mom to Meat Farms, and noticed a $1 coin in the parking lot, depicting Susan B. Anthony on the front and an eagle with a laurel in its talons on the back. Letting that sit by itself instead of with all the rest of my loose change.

Got around to trying out Google Earth after randomly finding out that the part of Kuki, Japan where Tsukasa and Kagami Hiiragi live was actually its own town called Washimiya when Lucky Star aired in 2007, three years before it and one other town became expansions of Kuki itself. Not surprised there, since the shrine they own, named Takanomiya, was renamed from its real-life counterpart Washinomiya Shrine. While most characters are only said to live in Saitama Prefecture (sometimes referred to as Saitama, Japan, as if it was a town), the coordinates of several characters' homes are specified on Lucky Star Wiki, which has pages for various in-show places. I'm not surprised that the twins were specified in Stars Above to live in Kuki, since it was only another year later that Puella Magi Madoka Magica, that story's other parent work, would air.
Seeing how I had set Rokuna and her friends to attend school at Kuki Hokuyo High School, after setting her home some reasonable distance from both the twins' and Konata's, I tried to see if that school was called something different or had even existed at the time. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to look anything up, and while I at first chalked it up to the location I was trying to observe, it then turned out that the program's current version lacks the time slider altogether, along with other features that people relied rather heavily on. I found out through an article that came up on Google, which also mentioned that Google is still maintaining GE 7 exactly for that reason.

Brought it up with Brian, and he gave me a download link to version 7.3, which I should probably try out today while I await that game.
