The reason the previous chapter took twice as long to get uploaded, to begin with, had to do with Oriko being flung far away from Kyoko and Yuma. Originally, she was going to be impaled with one of many rising spikes from the earth, but I had no idea how she would survive such a thing, nor does the current chapter explain anything beyond simply lacking the energy to get up after the fall she subsequently took. I changed the spikes to boulders, and had one of them simply knock her into the air.
That chapter was already complete; I just wanted to await the next one before ironing things out.
As for this one, John and I had a slight lapse in communication after he wrote chapter 10. We agreed on having Komaki being the remaining character of focus instead of Kirika, but while I simply changed the name of the person Oriko contacts on her phone and assumed John would assume as much, he instead wrote around that. Then came this chapter, which specifies that Oriko and Kirika had already known eachother for some time; I would've rather they not have yet, but to try to change things now would get a bit untidy, compared to just changing the contact name from before back.
John did tell me before, though, meaning to leave Komaki's fate ambiguous upon introducing Kirika in person. Obviously, though, if she were still alive, Oriko would have summoned her as well at a certain point in Madoka's fic.
