dmxratedEggman's New Invention

Review: The first babyfic I've read (aside from my own), and one of the best. All the male characters in the Sonic Adventure/Heroes universe (save for Charmy Bee and Dr. Eggman, the latter who is responsible for their fate,) are transformed into babies, and are left in the care of Amy, Cream, Rouge, and two original characters who appear later in the fic. Focuses mainly on babysitting, although towards the end, a battle against Eggman unfolds. The different aspects of babysitting presented in the fic were plenty, including shopping for baby equipment, feeding the babies, preventing them from eating anything inedible, and of course, plenty of diaper changes (plus a facial reaction from Amy when Sonic and Shadow are brought to her and her friends as babies). Omega (a gender-neutral machine character) is also present in the fic, mainly to identify the ages of each character in months, years, and half-years. Some might have found it a bit too silly (and it was a humor fic), but in my opinion, it ruled ass! Too bad it got deleted for whatever reason; otherwise, I'd read it again whenever I wanted to.

Review: This would've made a promising fanfic if it wasn't discontinued after chapter 2. At first read of the summary, you might think Tails is going to be the babysitter (which is rather awkward if you're a male), but actually, he brings the babyfied Sonic and Knuckles to Amy's house. Amy comments on how cute they are, but then covers her nose from something obvious while asking if Sonic "finally decided to get kids for us." Chapter two is very short, consisting mainly of Amy changing both babies' diapers, but Cream is introduced at the end of said chapter. Too bad we didn't get to see her reaction to the situation. (And that's also what started my relationship with the author.)

Review: Decent; good if you're desperate for some babyfiction. Amy finds an infantile version of Shadow on her doorstep, and enlists Sonic's help. Seven chapters long. The first five focus on the babysitting theme, while chapter 6 revolves around retrieving Shadow from Dr. Eggman's clutches. The last chapter takes place years later, when Shadow is older. Also a humor fic like the previous two fics. Not as great as Eggman's New Invention, but not amateur either. Oh, and be sure to read it's prequel Wish.

Review: Lacking in the parenting department, but part of an interesting series nonetheless. Begins with Amy giving birth to Shadow's baby, who the two of them name Eclipse (hence the subtitle). Not much parenting is described, but as either of the authors (I don't remember which) said, there's not much you can do with babies when writing something mostly plot-oriented. Shortly after Amy gives birth, Eclipse is stolen by "Eggman's" robots, but when Shadow sets out to reclaim the child, Eggman reveals that GUN is the real culprit, after having bought Eggman's mechs. Shadow attacks GUN, only to be captured and tortured for several days. Sonic, Amy, and Tails set out to save him and Eclipse, only to get forced into abandoning Sonic (who later gets rescued by Espio). Everyone comes home, but starting with a scene where Sonic receives a kiss from Amy despite not deserving it, Shadow has a period of hostility fits, which are actually due to drugs forced into his body by GUN. Meanwhile, Eclipse is with Cream and Lady Vanilla since his rescue from GUN, but we don't get to see much action between them (which wouldn't have mattered anyway in a plotfic). Part of an ongoing fanfic series for MATURE audiences only.

Review: Also a dark fanfic, though it pales in comparison to ARAAT2:E mentioned above. Shinji is transformed into a baby, and Misato is responsible for his well-being. There is a sufficient amount of focus on the babysitting factor, but a good portion of it focuses on external factors which get intertwined with this (such as Asuka having a life crisis and Rei learning human emotions). I'd rate it about the same with Innocence.
The Incredible Shrinking Wotch

Review: Not very good. Tandy (a female character) receives a magical virus which gradually decreases her age. The rest of the cast spends most of the time looking for a way to reverse it. The only parenting to take place was one diaper change and nothing else. Of course, understand that it was a one-shot, and that would be all the author had room for for a fic like that.

Review: Excellent. Paochi sure does a good job at both keeping the babysitting factor up and creating a plot, unlike the authors of ARAAT2:E. Not a humor fic, but not dark either. Most of the plot revolves around Matt and Mimi getting through their jobs while tugging one of Sora's babies each along. Even more diversified aspects of babysitting than in Eggman's New Invention, though I still prefer Sonic babyfics to those in other fandoms.

Review: So-so. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are babyfied by Dr. Eggman, and are left to Amy and Cream's care. Most of the fic revolved around escaping Eggman's assault and getting to his fortress. Only one diaper change, a teddy bear, and modified words from the babies. Don't read this if you don't like crossovers between different Sonic universes (in this case, Scratch and Grounder from AoSTH appearing in the Sonic Adventure universe).

Review: Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are struck with some sort of weapon during a fight with Eggman, which will later babyfy them. Like in ENI, Amy, Cream, and Rouge need to act as babysitters until a cure is found. Currently, only the first chapter is up, but I did take the opportunity to suggest that Tiara (from Sonic Xtreme) appear in the fic.
