Found two interesting things while Mom and I were out running errands last night.
First, at Savers after our gym workout, was that book Chew On This that Mom once got me during the summer of '06. I noticed it out the corner of my eye while pacing back and forth in a particular aisle, facing outward instead of tucked in with all the other books on the shelf. Read a few pages I liked in particular, showed it to her, and she offered to get our library copy instead, but I declined.
The other thing was this little toy turtle on wheels, sitting on a stack of canned food in the middle of a Stop & Shop aisle, while I was waiting there for Mom. I asked if we should give it to Adrian, but she said he might be a little too old for that, and we agreed to give it instead to Steven and Jordan, since the latter will be having a baby soon.
(As for Adrian, though, Mom did ask me if I could think of anything to give him, and I decided on this old toy called Little Smart Driver that Dennis and Steven once had when we were little. Will be sure to look for a unit with the manual still bundled, since there are several songs I had never heard of otherwise (particularly one about climbing stairs) that I'd be curious to read the lyrics of.)
