dmxratedYesterday at 11:00, I went to the first of three unofficial meetings at an anime club. Before it began, some girl who happened to be the club president's assistant had some laptop, and I gathered around with some fellow pre-members to watch something that she made. She cut and pasted a bunch of scenes from Full Metal Alchemist, and complemented it with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers theme. So far, she has yet to put it onto YouTube, but she did tell me that her YouTube name is CandiceHawkeyeM (and she introduced herself as Candice, by the way). If I were making a similar video, I would've just as easily used either the full version of I Am All of Me (the theme song from Shadow the Hedgehog) or Linkin Park's song Breaking the Habit.
As for the actual club meeting, the first thing we did was introduce ourselves and state what our favorite anime was. I told everyone that my favorite anime is Mon Colle Knights, and that my favorite manga is Sgt. Frog. After the introductions were over, the rest of it was just technical stuff about what the club is about, this and that, etc.
When I went to the computer lab, I tried going onto YouTube. Sure enough, Candice's username did exist, but I wasn't able to watch anything visually. Probably something to do with the area, because I did watch some stuff at home that Jake showed me. Both videos were video game reviews for Out of this World and Castlevania II. The former didn't interest me as much as the latter did, and I'm glad I hardly bothered ever getting anywhere into Castlevania II when I once downloaded it. (Damn! I didn't save the convo that contained the links, but I could probably just as easily find it again with YouTube's search engine.)
I went to the bank yesterday to drop off my check and make a lunch money withdrawal. There was no line whatsoever, so I was able to get in and out of the building. When I told Mom, she said she was surprised since yesterday was State Payday.
Marie's friend Joe came over for dinner, and I told everyone about my day during dinner.
