Oct. 22nd, 2019 05:56 amManaged to sort things out with Brian yesterday. It seems highly unlikely at this point that I will even be coming to Boston with him, and in general, he doesn't want me wasting time with a game just for his sake. Given how little time he has for games in general, he even said when I asked that he wouldn't bother personally with Mother 3 or even another shot with Breath of the Wild, but is open to watching playthroughs online.
(Well, at least he gave Mother 1 a try, and I'm still glad to have gotten a reason before to play all three games again since my pre-Starbound marathon, when I was originally planning my next playthrough of each before Mother 4 or Day of the Beehive. Good practice in advance to those points, too.)
It also seems likely that I will return to writing Starbound once I'm all done with this year's firewood and THIS IS IT! Not just due to how poorly things are panning out with planning the game out, but also because various things would be very different and less fleshed out if I were to pursue the game directly.
With that, it doesn't seem likely that I will bother novelizing Food Fantasy. To begin with, the maps and features you unlock in that game already happen to correspond to the events of the main story, despite being accessed separately from the story stages. This also makes the questions Chelle raised before a moot point, but in case I do come back to it, my core Food Souls of choice would be Apple Pie, Jello, Double Scoop, Whisky, Black Tea, and Mango Pudding. (Sakura Tea also interests me a lot, and she'd be perfect for when it's time to explore artifacts, at which point hers would be showcased rightfully as the Clow Staff instead of some random teacup.)
