dmxratedOccurred to me after yesterday's post to test those disks on my laptop, and I got the same result as on my external DVD drive. (The seller has promised to check another disk for this error, and if it doesn't happen with her, I will check the rest of the disk to see where else to check.)
Mom called to let me know where that DVD player is. I told her it's a moot point, but good not only that she actually read this blog, but I also got a chance to chat with both her and Marie.

Yesterday was rainy, and I had a day off from the woodpile. Managed to catch up with Chelle regarding Starbound, and even took some time to check for new artifacts on Food Fantasy Wiki just to kill time.
Been a few weeks since anyone got any. Seeing how most such Food Souls are Ultra Rare despite Rare and Mundane ones combining to almost equal those and Super Rare ones comprising an even larger number overall, it just seems more likely still that I will try out Grand Summoners instead once my Wanikani subscription ends.
With Starbound, Brian and Chelle have both reminded me why that should have been a game in the first place. Except that the fact that that was hardly an option to begin with was exactly how Rokuna made her way into the story, which proved really fortunate when an attempt to revisit Cult a few years later failed.
To begin with, while I was satisfied with how chapter 7 turned out, I think Chelle had a good point about how the way the party just moved around served no particular purpose, even though I did seek help from Brian filling in the blanks. I brought it up with Brian, and he, too, told me that he was expecting this whole thing would be only one chapter, and that he deems it getting overblown already. He didn't even reach Maria's introduction while writing his ideas a year ago, though, so I figured he, too, only had an initial chapter of the arc on mind.
If he meant just one chapter and country before the party reaches each next mana spot, then that is exactly what I'm not looking for. What I want is to build the story up as much as possible, and have the party go to as many different places as possible before it eventually leaves the planet itself for Philosoma. I want more stuff to happen throughout the story, not less; that's the whole point of the story itself.
