dmxratedManaged to speak to Brian while he was chatting with Mom yesterday. He told me that, despite Mother not being a priority for him anymore, he actually gave my walkthrough a read, and he commented on how thoroughly I managed to cover everything.
Following my original plans to come up to grind the game itself for him, I was planning on giving Mother 3 another play in February, after taking some time first to read its player's guide, and revising my walkthrough for that one more time before printing it up and then coming to visit him in April. Even though I've had to scrap those plans since, this gives me reason at least to read the player's guide and then revise the walkthrough one more time and print that up.
(Not too long ago, Brian did say he'd be all for watching some playthroughs instead. I told him then that I'd find some that I like, but have decided since that I would rather record some custom playthroughs at some point, whenever I'd be having one of my breaks from Starbound anyway, just to show him my own skills and even my shopping style in M3 (not as much room for that in game 1).)
