Dec. 8th, 2006 04:19 pmToday, the unexpected has happened. Martin finally signed onto AIM, even though not for very long. I asked him if he remembered any details about Eggman's New Invention, and he told me he had a perfect copy of the fic. I sure came to the computer lab at just the right time. He emailed it to me, and I later downloaded it onto a floppy disk I got from the computer lab deskman, which I had primarily used to save an assignment for Psychology. The fic took only five minutes to read, but I've made lots of mistakes when writing about it. It still is the best babyfic I've read, in my own opinion. I offered to send Jake a copy if he typed his email address onto AIM, but he chose to wait instead.
Forty-five minutes before my Communications class started, someone named Dan said he appreciated my speech, and how I brought up some media references. I thanked him for expressing his opinion. Later, while Mom was driving me home, she asked me about it, and I told her I was able to wing the assignment without trouble.
Mom also stopped by at Wendy's to pick up a bacon cheeseburger for Marie. While we were in the restaurant, I noticed that the title of the application plaque read "Face it...You want a job that makes you smile." Yeah right. My McDonald's job never made me smile, and besides, I've already got a job that does just that.
"You don't like Wendy's. What do you like?" Mom asked me as we left.
"Pita House, The Landmark, the Indian restaurant," I answered. She then told me that The Landmark went out of business, which explains why we haven't gone there in years.
Oh, and the reason I chose not to get anything at Wendy's is because of that book called "Chew On This." That should be obvious if you've read my past entries from last summer.
