May. 16th, 2020 05:56 amAborted my current playthrough of The World Ends With You, after figuring out a more efficient way to shop around each day for the sake of a randomization walkthrough.
Basically, I should start each day by selecting which store to shop at and listing what I'll buy there, rather than listing all individual items available. In Earthbound, there are often multiple vendors at a given place, they all sell up to seven items each, and if I were to decide who to buy from before what to buy, I'd end up buying some things more than others. Here, on the other hand, there become increasingly way too many different things the further you play into the game, and the different odds between buying one thing and another are pretty miniscule.
(I did take some time, though, to try out the Joy-Con controls, and for the most part, they actually work pretty well, and even better in some aspects, once you get used to them. Should be able to play on Marie's TV whenever Mom and I end up heading over to her place.)

Went on another walk with Brian and Emily yesterday, but we didn't stay for as long this time.
Coming home, we stopped at La Margherita for a pizza to bring home. We started eating while watching another episode of 000, but Emily saw only the beginning and end of said episode and would not like to see any more.
We then went out to get ice cream. At first, we stopped at Dairy Queen, but the line was really long, so we went to McDonald's instead.
