Figured something out.
May. 26th, 2020 08:21 amAside from actual attraction itself, what I actually miss from five years ago, regarding the Cibus project, is how well I could plan out how to adapt the various spinoffs or which pictures to have created or photoshopped.
Like, there were about as many different girls to adapt into Cibi back then as there have since been introduced in Magia Record alone, but they were all introduced in different stories, allowing me to focus on just a few at any given moment. Everyone in Magia Record, from the outset, are all compiled onto one page on Puella Magi Wiki, and while they all do have different actual stories, I don't see myself playing the actual game anytime soon, and currently lack the interest to read all of those on the wiki.
Back then, three series in question, Suzune Magica, Tart Magica, and Oriko Magica: Sadness Prayer, also had several months or years yet to be localized here, and waiting to read those was some kind of thrill for me. Now, there are only three series in total currently being serialized in this magazine called Manga Time Kirara Magica. Ever since the game launched in Japan three years ago, all else the franchise has spawned was an anime and manga adaptation each of that, although I do gather that a fourth movie has been in the works since '15. (I do plan on watching the anime on Funimation in a few weeks, though, once my free trial on HiDive expires (it's there too, but only in Japanese).)
And if that game had been already launched and localized way back then, I would have gotten right into it while having mostly a break from Lucky Star. I actually might try again with it in the future, but not while I'm still trying to move Starbound along (at least once I finish THIS IS IT!) and take advantage of my current interest in Game Gourmet, which has also been an outright requirement most of the time in order to interest me in something. Will have to see how things look whenever I lose interest in Lucky Star again.
(I'm also still hot for the Makendou story, three years after conceiving its premise, but that's gonna have to wait too, until I've played enough games on the sidelines I'm already dying to to consider a fourth playthrough of Makeruna! Makendou Z, to record in full (even including battles) on Mednafen. Not as big a deal anyway as Starbound and Game Gourmet, and if I lose interest in it too, then might be the time I see what's going on with the Puella Magi franchise.)
