After almost a year of spacing out aborted playthroughs of other games, I had decided after finally finishing THIS IS IT! just to see something through once and for all, even if I have to start over multiple times. With Disgaea 5 Complete a few years ago, the reason for that was a failure to read beforehand about what I was getting into, but given my track record since January, I am really not surprised to have found five different things I was doing wrong this past week. Just think how long it could've really taken me to get everything right if I were to space each playthrough at least several months apart.
Just this last playthrough, I kept a list on TextEdit of recipes I gained all the ingredients for, not including those for which I ran out of one before gaining another. Already cumbersome on its own, but from there, I found myself barely cooking anything at all after a certain point, due to selecting recipes that I had run out of ingredients for, and selling things I only had one each of (from simply creating recipes upon gaining ingredients I'd gain and inevitably run out of), while other ingredients overflowed from dungeons I'd revisit.
It's a good thing this game has a feature called Lookup Cooking, from which I can select an ingredient first before seeing only what recipes are currently viable that include it.

I've also realized several issues with the farm that you unlock after defeating the first boss.
The first of those is about how much you can expand each area for a total of 30 jewels, 10 for each plot, which then carries over even into other files or playthroughs. I made a point of unlocking plots of land on the field whenever I'd reach the amount, while still allowing myself to spend jewels on items whenever I'd roll a double-6* after a given battle, only to find out about more plots to unlock when I unlocked the orchard, before looking up the concept of farming itself on the wiki.
(*I did explain before why I originally aimed for double-5's, but for what I plan on sharing online, that would probably come off as arbitrary, and would also require re-rolls for any 6's that someone might land. Plus, 6 times 6 is 36, which is one quarter of 144, which is 12 times itself, just as 5 squared is one quarter of 100, the main number used for percentages.)
It's a good thing in this case that I paid for two different versions, because while I don't have the initial 80 that comes with the Android version itself once you pay for the full game, I still have the initial 100 (and 3 more) on my Switch version that I could put towards unlocking everything. Next playthrough to come, I will probably play that version and refrain from the jewel store altogether, giving myself the leeway only when it's time to write up the walkthrough. (Any further jewels I gain after maxing all areas out will be saved for then.)
The other thing is, after having looked up the wiki page, I was not surprised to find out how expensive seed and other things can get as you unlock each type. Until yesterday, I made a point of keeping my field full in order to obtain things faster because what you're limited to at first costs piddly amounts. However, not only does that gradually change as you play along, but leaving patches open would also allow me to improve them on days when I decide to farm at all.

Just yesterday, I had found myself too worn out to start over yet again. By now, though, I would like to put these refinements into practice, but there are several other things I've been meaning to do anyway, which I should probably take care of first.
