dmxratedNot to my surprise, I had just blown through half my budget trying to get a script going for the Cibus game until several days ago. Needless to say, I will not be seeking any more work towards either that or Day of the Beehive.
Seeing how badly I'll be needing to recuperate my money first, I tried having another go at Kanji in Context, but unlike a few years ago, I've already forgotten most of the early stuff. Clearly, I am still not ready to be taking on actual work, and I am now stepping up my game with Wanikani.
To be clear, I had always been planning to revive old vocabulary at some point. Originally, though, that would've happened when my subscription ends the 19th of next April and I'm left with access only to levels 1-3. For now, I was planning just to focus on clearing the course itself, and then on burning radicals as the amount of stuff to keep reviewing finally subsides for a while.
Currently, I am already on level 59, but with one more overload of lessons to come once I reach 60, now is still not the time to be reviving anything just yet. Instead, I've decided to see how many radicals I actually have left to burn (83), start focusing early on nailing each one that comes from now on, and begin reviving vocabulary one level at a time once I complete 60. Once my subscription ends, I will probably renew it on the following 30th, in case I decide to take my subscription break the following year to return to Food Fantasy.
(Some of you reading this might be wondering if I'd be a lot better at this if I actually read the mnemonics that come with each item, so as to figure out what to picture whenever I see something. That's the thing, though; I don't want to picture such ideas as they suggest, and would probably type up my own if I could at least hide the provided ones a la TV Tropes. That is actually something I had suggested at one point.)
As long as I focus on hurrying things along with Wanikani, I probably won't be playing anything whatsoever. Last thing I need is to remind myself of two different games that are not coming off the ground anytime soon, and if I run out of stuff to do between review sessions, I will probably rent a month on Hidive and watch some anime.
