Just for context that I'll get too in a bit, I make a point of keeping everything I revive on a given Wanikani level in one tidy set. This entails studying stuff before I revive anything, getting as much done as possible within a given hour, and erasing any errors I make by closing the Internet itself and then coming right back to it.

I find that stuff is easier to learn when it's more predictable, instead of when things get lost in what is essentially clutter that I've been trying since September to clear away, focusing on just some at a time. Once something gets separated from the rest of its level, the only way to bring it all back is to burn everything on that level automatically and then revive it all again. That, in turn, puts the level itself out of the order in which I originally revived it, which would then make it harder to predict what will come up next, and keep in mind that I only revive stuff on one level a day in order not to stress myself out more than I already will. I actually did try an hourly basis not too long ago, but stuff went out of order anyway from there; daily has proven much more predictable and reliable.

-----

Up until yesterday, I had been reviving each day's level at around 5 AM, which then sets everything to 1 PM (eight hours) after I actually do them again, after taking care of all my accumulated regular reviews from overnight. Yesterday, I decided to revive everything at 8 instead, so as to do them again at 4 when I start getting barely any reviews per hour.

Before she left, Mom suggested I think about what I'd like for my birthday, and I failed to study anything for the next level. In addition to taking some time to come back to Lisa during the hours I chose to wait, I went on to ask for game suggestions on the TV Tropes forum and Reddit, and got wrapped up doing things like participating in the Reddit discussion and looking at how food is implemented in the recs I got and adding a few of them to Game Gourmet.

Mom came home at around 12:40, more than an hour before she normally does, and suggested right off the bat that we go for a walk. I didn't think we'd be out for as long as we were for said walk and some shopping at both CVS and Meat Farms, and did manage to get my 1 PM session in before we left, but it was 3:30 when we got back, with well over a hundred (mostly revived) items to review half an hour before another hundred, and I decided just to get down to business then so that they don't combine. Come the 4:00 mark, I actually managed to slow down and really think about what each item would be, allowed myself to flub two items from that level instead cycling out and in and having more stuff to sort through, and put the next batch off for 5 while going on to take a nap that I was about to have right when Mom came home and manage normally to get in an hour or so earlier.

Well, it wasn't all bad. This is actually the first walk we've been able to go on in days after several different snowstorms, I am glad to have been able to land two pairs of empanadas to have for lunch, along with something from a nearby bakery to Meat Farms where Mom went to pick up some wine separately, and I am glad to have the opportunity to shift my bigger review sessions to later in the day than usual.

But, having not had the spoons still to study even after we got home, I have already decided not to bother reviving anything at all today. Could use a breather every now and then.
