Mom and I went for a walk around the cemetery in Yaphank yesterday, and we walked five laps. For the last lap, Mom asked if I'd like to jog, and I managed the whole way around; she said she wasn't even able to run half as far as I did.

For Marie and Drew's last day here, Mom made some fried chicken and caprese for us to all have together yesterday, and also some ice cream sundaes using those remaining brownies from my birthday cake which she had cut into slices. Once we finished eating, we started distributing birthday and Christmas presents that we had not been able to give on time. In particular, I got volume 1 each of To Heart and also Mink, which I found v. 2-4 of at Savers a few months ago, and Emily finally managed to give me what she meant to give me on Christmas, which was this Far Side book called Weiner Dog Art.

At some point, Mom filled a bucket with birdseed, and I brought it out to the feeder and just left it there intending to come back to it after a walk, aside from putting the suet in one of our suet cages. I had forgotten all about it even upon coming back to the house, and Mom alerted me shortly that there was a squirrel inside the bucket.
