dmxratedRe-posted for Earthbound Zero and Mother 3 on both Upwork and Reddit the other day. Someone on Reddit suggested two days ago that I learn how to mod games myself, citing how rewarding it would feel to pull something like that off.
Was about to try it with Earthbound Zero, but then Brian asked me to put something together on Unity, which diverted my attention away.
To begin with, though, not only am I already stretched thin, with Unity, those walkthroughs that I plan to have up by October, and the amount of gameplay it would take to put everything I write into practice and add details wherever necessary, but even if I do succeed with anything in Earthbound Zero, most changes I want are not anything I could learn within a year. I also understand that a lot of data is compressed, which means that you're not going to find it directly through a hex editor.
And now, I've just found someone new to work on EB0, who has actually asked questions about the game and how I want stuff done. Assuming he doesn't peter out, that should free me up to focus more on Unity and my walkthroughs.

Yesterday, at Brian's aforementioned request, I managed to put something called an aura together, which consists of the camera, the party, and the field screen interface. Gonna need some scripts to apply to it, and in the meantime, I should continue creating the bounding boxes around Onett, after having already put Ness' house almost together.

Also started a new game in Disgaea yesterday, after finding myself dying to try something out.
Basically, I'm wondering if, for whenever I want something that would cost too much mana for one playthrough, I could increase the rate at which I gain experience or mana by raising someone's Demon Rank directly to 5 in order to unlock Stronger Enemies, and then proposing that continually until either I'm out of items, my character is out of mana, or it gets denied.
So far, no such thing has happened, but on the other hand, I did manage this time to bring my inventory back down to just four items, only one of which is common and level 0, after proposing Raise Military Funds twice, not even by trying anything different than before.
