Dad had to drive me, Brian, and Emily at 4 or 5 for an hour and a half to the airport, and then we had another hour to kill before our actual flight. We found a bar-and-grill to sit down at, and I ordered just some Sierra Mist before pacing up and down the aisle.
The flight was about ten hours give or take, and I was too tired the whole time to bother reading anything. Good thing there was an empty row behind us, which I took up to sleep on and off after Brian pointed it out following a trip to the lavatory. (Another good thing that Mom suggested I not bring nearly so much to read as I was going to originally.)
Upon meeting with Marie and Drew, it took another half hour or longer before they'd reach an airBNB they rented to drop us off at, although getting to cross the Golden Gate Bridge on our way out of San Francisco was nice too.
