dmxratedDrew had a meeting at the time, but the first thing the rest of us did upon leaving the apartment was drive all the way to Point Reyes. Along the way, we saw all kinds of animals, both wild and domesticated, including cows, elks, deer, turkey vultures, a few ravens, and a coyote.
Hiked up a road closed off to cars, but we weren't able to visit this lighthouse because the gate to the staircase leading to it was locked. Was still worth it for a nice view of the ocean under fog, though, and also for lunch at this place called Point Reyes Station.

Back at Marie's house, me, Brian, and Emily each had a nap while Marie watched Drew play Elden Ring. We all went out for a stroll upon waking up, and then ordered some Chinese food before watching two episodes of Kanon.
Went on to watch an episode of Silicon Valley before Brian drove me and Emily to the airport.

I ordered a large white chocolate mocha latte just to stay awake on the plane. Was going to get some rest by laying my head down on a pair of neck-pillows double-stacked, one that was packed for me and Emily each, but then, combined with a brief discussion we had about the events of Kanon, I got the urge instead to walk some laps where we were.
Was still barely able to sleep, and once again, didn't feel like reading anything. Not sure if I felt slightly more comfortable or just the same as the previous flight, although it was nice to have just turned 36 in the middle of one.

While we discussed my stay in California, Mom asked me if there was anything really worth noting, to which I replied nothing that I hadn't already mentioned here. She pointed out that I tend to talk mostly about my anime and/or game discussions, and to be honest, I'm really not surprised to hear that. (I do recall her pointing out how much more lively I tend to become whenever I have the chance to talk about stuff that already interests me when she sought me a psychologist back in 2016.)

Spent a few hours sleeping shortly after we arrived back home.
Mom spoke to me afterwards about moving me upstairs just temporarily, since she never got the chance to paint my room like she planned while I was away. I decided to agree to that.
Nor was last night a good evening to have cake, since along with how tired I was, Dad had just had some surgery in his mouth in the morning. We agreed to have that on Saturday, when Mom will have time to cook some mushrooms to go with a steak she plans on making.

Currently, I have no internet access upstairs, and Mom and I will have to look at that. Probably going to remain down here for until she comes home from work, at which point I should also bring my main computer that I have all my files and bookmarks on upstairs. (That should also give me a chance to plug in my old computer to retrieve a few things from once Mom wraps things up down here.)
After such a busy week as I've just had, I plan to take today just to unwind. Along with Unity, Mom has asked me to start applying for a few jobs while various stores around here are understaffed, but those can both wait until tomorrow. Today, I just want to relax and play something.
Probably Super Mario RPG again. Right now, I'm still sick and tired of Disgaea, and it would feel nice not to have any walkthroughs to keep up with while I play along, which would rule out the Earthbound trilogy. And despite what I said earlier about that game needing a ROMhack, I actually did realize a few good places to use Mushrooms and Able Juice in particular.
