dmxratedSo it turns out that food in Ys VIII is cooked for the entire party. Nowhere I looked online specified that, and I naturally assumed you would be able just to take what you cook with you and feed each item to one character at a time.
Well, surprises like that are exactly why I intend to play multiple games even outside of my starting five, in order to determine what to promise walkthroughs for on a list at the end of each, so that I don't end up writing anything off later and give anyone the impression that I would not cover them even upon request. This saves me a lot of work right there, and some money that I would've put towards IX when Steam hosts its summer sale.

In light of an internet outage yesterday afternoon, which somehow even locked me out of Unity once I turned that off to reboot my computer, it's a good thing I didn't have the spoons to read anything on the plane going to or from California recently. Having my backpack handy up here, then was when I decided to start reading Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Wraith Arc, which was only in there alongside Hatsune Mix. (Would've had to come downstairs for either Mink or The Honor Student at Magic High School, which turned out to be the better choice to leave home.)

Still waiting to hear back from Crunchyroll, and I just randomly brought that up with Mom after yesterday's episode of Magia Record. I showed her what happens when I try to upgrade through the TV, and she was the one to actually read what was there.
I ended up signing for what turned out to be another paid month on Funimation.
Good that we will have no more ads to sit through, but as it turns out, I might actually not be eligible for that 60-day free trial to begin with. Here are the actual terms:
