Jun. 22nd, 2022 07:24 amMy parents are finally done painting the dining room, and Mom and I put it back together yesterday.
Earlier than Mom predicted, we are now free to bring that apartment table to the back of the house, at least when it's not raining after she comes home from work.

Last night, Dad came across this video of some Indian band playing Take Five on instruments native to their country. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem for me, but at that time, Mom had just asked me to learn how to cook the tortillas for some fajitas we were having for dinner. I let her and Dad know I was going outside to avoid it, but came off as annoyed towards Mom, who pointed out that I still have a hot pan that I was about to leave alone.
Dad called me over to ask what the problem was, and I took the time to figure out how to explain it the best I could before he showed me a video of the original song. He then agreed not to put the other clip back on, and I agreed to let him and Mom know from now on if I don't want to hear something they put on.
While exceptions do exist (usually when I am in control), I do not like what is basically a form of mix-and-match. On a similar note, I do recall a while ago, finding what turned out to be a techno version of Spooky Scary Skeletons (can't remember whether that was on Facebook or something Chelle reblogged on Tumblr, but it was playing from someone's house decorated for Halloween), and bailing right out to wash that down with a bit of that song's original version.
