dmxratedYesterday was the first time I had ever played Mother 1, the Japanese version of Earthbound Zero. Xuebo had been asking around for a savestate in order to compare data of the Twinkle Elementary science lab between versions, told me that three weeks had gone by since he last asked, so I thought then to take it upon myself to take care of it already.
And, that's what I had done the whole day. The first half involved reaching that point in the game, and the second half was all about grinding for money to afford the Time Machine, which in turn involved some trial and error since I had initially passed up a Psycho Stone and the Agate Fish Hook (this version's respective names for PSI Stones and the Onyx Hook) and found myself having to pay more in Thanksgiving (Merrysville) than I was making to keep Loid alive and keep my PP up for Lifeup. After abandoning the path between there and Sweet Little's Factory, I wandered about just to get home from Thanksgiving to retrieve my Great Grandfather's Diary, only to forget about that while letting Ninten's mom heal my party up, went back to the cave leading to Magicant, realized then what I forgot to do. A pain in the ass, but at least I was fighting much weaker enemies that Loid could deal easily with. And then, I had to go several rounds through Magicant just to get to Thanksgiving with Loid alive, and by the time I did, I had managed to accumulate the full amount.
It was already around 8:30 by the time I finished, and suffice to say, I didn't bother playing Disgaea by that point. Today, I expect to resume things with Earthbound's CCscript, thanks to a certain page someone linked me to from Discord the other day.
