dmxratedWhile I was asking for help with stuff on Discord yesterday, someone mentioned a decompiler in the works called EarthbounD to be on the horizon, which they said will enable much easier ROMhacking of Earthbound itself.

In that case, it would obviously be practical to hold off on commissioning anyone to modify the game any further. For now, I will look into just modifying the end-of-battle overload protocol, before re-compiling the game and playing it to see the walkthrough through once and for all while everything else cooks on Upwork.
(On that note, Getter Love!! is also on hold. To begin with, I was only planning to revisit that once Earthbound and the other three priority games are all done. Recently, though, Muhammad brought that game up as a holdover project while I was busy compiling notes for Disgaea. At one point, he discovered its original Japanese text to be hardcoded, we couldn't find anyone to softcode it cheaply enough, but then I brought the issue up with Ozzy, and he told me that all he has left to do is to re-compress some images, so I am giving him probably these next few months to sort that out himself, before I ask him for whatever he still needs compressed.)

Bought episode 5 of Magical Girl Spec Ops Asuka yesterday to show Mom and Marie.
The three of us then went to Squassex Landing, that boatyard Mom and I visited the other day and we all came to explore several times during childhood.
We then stopped on the way home at Savers, and I agreed to shop for a couple of things that Mom had earlier forgotten to look for at Meat Farms, rather than waiting around while they look around at stuff. Saw Mom right after I paid for some 2% milk, a loaf of Italian bread, and a Heath bar I threw in myself. She told me that Marie suggested they intercept me, betting that I'm sitting on the bench near the exit feasting away on something, and I wound up just bringing it home to have as a snack in a few days.

Marie and our parents were planning to watch Local Hero, a favorite movie of theirs, and managed to watch twelve minutes before Mom served dinner. I joined them partway in, but only stayed down long enough to have dinner and some ice cream.
