Made a particularly bad mistake on Upwork first thing yesterday morning, and went on to address certain concerns in my notebook that Mom had expressed a few weeks ago.

Marie then came up to invite me to play Rummikub with her and Mom, I asked for some time to brush my teeth et al, and decided to show her what I wrote as long as she was up here, having reason to trust her at least not to lose her shit with me. She explained to me why Mom tends to perceive financial freedom so differently from me, especially when my own income consists mostly of allowance, citing that we were relatively poor during childhood and how our parents would send us outside before arguing usually about money. I reciprocated citing how we used to rent this very apartment out to a series of tenants, and for that matter, I can also remember how she used to deliver newspapers for an income when we were small, something she would put us kids in the back of our car before taking care of while Dad worked his own job.

The end of our following round of Rummikub involved me shuffling tiles around left and right to get rid of my remaining three, and I was still left with one. Marie went on to win that round.

Spent the rest of the morning writing down half my payments from since I started business with Muhammad, and some context surrounding each to show Marie. At some point, I decided to have a breather from that, and asked Marie, who was up in the loft watching stuff on TikTok, if she wanted to watch our show for the day. We went down to invite Mom, only for her to call us to go walk around the cemetery in Yaphank.

We walked a few laps, and then came straight home.

I had already decided upon episode 3 of Release the Spyce, which only had the free trial option. I had already created a separate Prime Video account from Brian's, but the TV never asked to verify a payment method, which implies that it's still going to charge Brian for each month I rent after my free trial ends.

We watched the one episode, and then played another game of Rummikub which I won.

I soon went on to finish what I had started in the morning, but decided to wait until this morning to show Marie when we're all refreshed.

And finally, before we ate dinner, Dad put on this movie from 1948 called Key Largo. After hearing some things said about Indians and identifying some guests at a hotel as mafia gangsters, I deduced the movie itself to be one Dad showed us part of on April 16, 2000, when he mentioned something going on involving gangsters and Indians.
