Four coincidences in The Week

The Week normally arrives here on Saturday, but sometimes gets delayed for Monday (since the mail doesn't operate on Sundays). This week's issue was one of the latter, and I gave it a read yesterday morning.
Four things in particular are worth noting:
1) Learned about a two-hour shutdown of WhatsApp, which disrupted life especially in the United Arab Emirates. What a coincidence that I am currently unable to establish an account for that, in order to talk to Saqib, until I receive my password for an Apple account I can't seem to remember ever creating in the first place (supposed to happen next Saturday, from what I was emailed).
2) One political cartoon of the week has Elon Musk holding up a sink while saying "I'm the new owner of Twitter. Let that sink in. Get it? Haha." Someone asks him what's going to happen to the site, and he is next shown holding up a "shitter".
3) 22 across in the crossword is "Novelist who in 1999 was hit by a van in Maine and in 2002 announced his retirement; he published his next novel a year later, and has added 25 since." I knew the answer to be Stephen King, who mentioned that early in On Writing.
4) 18 down, meanwhile, is "Candidate Zeldin". I remember the answer to be "Lee", from my internship for rival Brian Foley for the 2010 midterm elections.
-----
Mom helped out for the midterm elections, and would not be home until 11 PM. She is having another day off from work to run some errands, including taking Dad to get some blood drawn and taking the pickup to Toyota.
