dmxratedAunt Marie offered to take me to Buffalo Wild Wings, the other place I considered for lunch before Mom told me they don't have Friendly's in Virginia, and I took her up on it.
Instead of the Riverhead location, we went to one somewhere along the route I normally take to Smithhaven Mall.
That just so happened to pass Suffolk County Community College, where I once went to school. I pointed that out to Marie, and she told me that's where Grandma Barbara had gotten her nursing degree, after working a number of menial jobs after getting married and coming here from Great Britain. As she explained her entire background up through getting her degree, she also mentioned that that's where she made numerous lifelong friends, which I would assume would be everyone she used to hold her brit club meetings with.
At the restaurant itself, I ordered a southern chicken burger and some cheddar cheese curds for lunch, and a slice of chocolate fudge cake for dessert. Marie ordered three small street tacos and some onion rings.
We watched episode 10 of Kanon upon arriving back home, after having finished 8 and watched 9 from there in the morning. And, I think that's a good point to wrap it up before she leaves this morning, with Makoto's arc all wrapped up.
