dmxratedPamela, Jennifer's coach whom we agreed the previous day to meet with, had a sudden emergency with a customer when I showed up to meet her yesterday, and our discussion was delayed half an hour. The person I spoke to at customer service asked if I'd like to hop over to Charlie's while waiting, but Mom suggested GameStop instead when I called to fill her in. Went there, looked around, and then walked a few laps up and down that part of the shopping center before heading back.
From what Pamela went on to tell me, I am supposed to receive a couple of emails, the first through which to fill out a background check, before my orientation takes place, but my actual role at the store will be to fill in for absentees.
Mom did suggest I phone Brian and Marie to share the news, but I decided just to make really sure that I actually am about to get hired. We did update Dad, though.
(Will have to ask if I might become a regular employee whenever someone quits.)
