With a surplus of flour to get rid of, Mom has recently been baking something each weekend. For this past weekend, I suggested that Brian and Emily decide what they'd like, and Brian decided upon a pound cake. Mom decided to make it lemon-flavored, having recently bought a cakepan with an imprint of some lemons (one whole, two halves, and a branch of leaves) on the bottom.

Separately, though, she had bought two containers of strawberries the other day, and for dessert, she decided to defrost some cream puffs to apply said strawberries and some whipped cream to for us..
