May. 20th, 2023 07:31 amBrian was the one to drive me to an interview at Sam's Club at 11:30 yesterday, and offered me a slurpee at 7-Eleven afterwards. I asked if he'd be willing to pay for anything else, and he agreed to something equivalent in price.
Looked at the donuts there, and got myself a strawberry-iced one with what I assumed would be cream. Only noticed right afterwards the availability of dippin' dots; too late for that after already handling something else with my bare hands.
Should've also known that that particular icing flavor would come with jelly instead of cream.

Having put Disgaea down a few days ago, I finally invited Mom to watch another show with me each night.
Decided soon upon To Heart, which is not available through legitimate streaming services. Mom had told me that Brian and Emily are going to remain here until around the 1st, and since 1) we had re-arranged the apartment furniture in general back in December in such a way inconducive to watching on my computer, and 2) we're not going to have access to the TV there while they occupy the apartment itself, now would be a better time than any to watch something on my computer for the first time since Made In Abyss.
She also asked me if that was one of the same things I requested the manga of before for birthday and Christmas gifts. I confirmed that while stating that that runs on its own path separate from the anime (presumably, so would have the original visual novel).
(Should also mention that the manga's character designs are a lot more cutesy, resembling the Lucky Star anime somewhat despite predating that by a whole decade. Combined with its own aforementioned situations, and also how much earlier one of my favorite characters, HMX-12 (Multi), debuts there than in the anime, seeing how I usually don't bother with manga that I've already seen the anime of, I'm glad that was my first real exposure to the franchise, when I originally spotted volume 2 at Savers and bought that.)
