Jun. 18th, 2023 06:31 amBefore she and Drew left, Marie gave me a tub of Celebrations that she meant to have arrive for either Christmas or my birthday (can't remember which she said), and commented that it could now represent my new employment instead.

Turned out the other day that, despite still being labeled "beta" (so that it doesn't wipe anyone's save data in an update), version 2.0 of Epic Battle Fantasy 4 has actually been complete for some time now.
That said, Matt Roszak, creator of the series itself, who assumes his developer name Kupo Games on Discord, has announced a pair of mobile versions of the game yesterday, and invited everyone on his server to discuss new content to add to them that he might copy back to the Steam version upon completion. This gives me reason to continue omitting that game when I repost on Upwork for other ROMhacks (probably Saturday, after I hopefully get to cash my first paycheck that I'm supposed to receive on Fridays). (Also omitting Revenant Kingdom until I have a chance to play that much further in than before and plan certain changes properly.)

Suffice to say, I was quick to share all my desired changes with him, which got a thumbs up from him and one other person; can't wait to see if anything actually makes the cut. Several others had a few things to point out, though.
One of these was about how broken Coffee would end up with if, combined with a new price of £100 (from £1,000), it could also induce auto-revive on the field (long story). Seeing what I actually want with both changes, especially as the result of other changes, I have decided that that can retain its own price, and went on to delist it from price changes.
The other point was about having the entire party fight, and not only how that protects one person from powerful moves like Doomsday (haven't seen myself), but also the kind of humor that an achievement called Step Over the Dead is supposed to contribute. I took that into consideration, and even admitted how I do enjoy deciding between battles who will participate in each next few whenever I land a cubic 6. (While the issue is normally about leaving no one out at "mealtime", which the ability to swap someone in mid-fight here fixes, this case has more to do with certain changes I want made to the Friend Dog summon, and I will not likely seek such a change for EBF5, without anything there that works similarly.)

Yesterday, I got around to reading more of this ebook called The Tribulations of Omega Girl, just for an idea of what to look for when I get around to seeking a complete reboot of Unwilling Service (still on my mind in certain ways, even with Jake gone and me no longer writing fanfiction personally).
Originally, I was planning to buy a paperback copy, once I had a job to stabilize my budget with, which is why I held off on it until we'd come back from vacation. As it turns out, it exists only digitally for Amazon Kindle, and only in full for anyone with Kindle Unlimited.
Went on to download Kindle to both my phone and my iPad, and borrowed the book to my phone under my free trial with Unlimited. Will need to cancel my subscription before it ends on July 17.
