dmxratedHad my orientation yesterday at 3. As it turns out, there will be a second meeting tomorrow at three, and then I am only going to work one 5-hour shift this week (the next day), and two next week. The week after says to use one of two mobile apps we had to download onto our phones, but at $16.75 an hour, minus tax, two days a week would net me around $160 each said week, hardly more than I was offering upfront before for ROMhacking ($144).
I brought this up with my parents last night, mainly to discuss whether or not I should start looking for more promising jobs while still doing this in the meantime. They told me that they probably just want me to prove myself, and will likely give me more days a week after the first three months.
Well, that much longer should give people on Upwork more time to forget about me, so that they'll more likely notice me when I offer more for ROMhacking. In the meantime, I will probably commission for simpler projects like pictures and short stories.
