dmxratedMarie called the other day to let us know that she and Drew are engaged and plan to marry in May. I withheld that for until she'd have a chance to let Aunt Marie know as well.

Samuel will never be working for me again.
To begin with, we finalized a contract for $300, but then he had a look at his job, and asked me to raise his pay to $4,000. I told him that that is beyond even my overall budget, which was around $2,500, and still refused even when he lowered his request to that. He seemed to back off when I made it clear that I will be paying well below half of my overall budget just for one change, and went on to write up a short .txt file, but then pushed me to pay him the $300 already in escrow before he'd continue.
I went on to close the contract, and he filed a dispute, stating that my expectations were unreasonable. To my relief, it was only the next day when someone stepped in to mediate, asking for proof that Samuel either did or did not fulfill my original expectations, regardless of effort. I replied immediately, taking screenshots of all of three exchanges in their entirety between me and Samuel, and pointing out highlights as I attached them.
For five days that we were allotted, plus one extra, he never replied at any point, and I got my money back in full.
And now, I have given the job to Danijel, one of the two people who had successfully helped out with Getter Love!! The other person, Vadim, has Earthbound Zero, but both of them have yet to look over their work before they and I agree on anything. (I am not seeking any new freelancers altogether until January, when not only should I be working a lot more at BJ's, but I will be less booked for plans after getting some solid weeks in with Starbound for until after Brian's next visit late in August, and then writing up the randomization walkthrough for Getter Love!! and recording some playthroughs, all to host in December for that game's 25th anniversary.)

Last night before dark, I saw someone driving a remote-control car around all the way at the end of Masem Court. Turned out to be Steve Giampino, Tabitha's husband, and he said he collects them and just got this one recently.
