dmxratedJust spent this past week experimenting with different emulators, half of which were recommended to me when I asked online about various display and performance problems I encountered while running the game. Just managed yesterday to play through a whole session without a single issue, and Rosalie's Mupen GUI Portable is the program I am going to recommend right at the start of my walkthrough.
Just later in the day, I tried to create a new folder, but the Folder option wasn't even available under New when I'd right-click. Tried all different approaches to restore it, but when I seemingly managed, the option would create a file instead.
Some more troubleshooting later, and I took to Microsoft Office Support, where someone went on to diagnose my computer with Quick Assist. An hour in, it turned out it was corrupted, and he had to restart Windows, which took another hour as it purged out all the viruses.
Sure enough, I was able to create a new folder for real, but the Windows layout had changed somehow, leaving me without all my bookmarks and stuff on Chrome.
Managed to restore some of my bookmarks this morning, from my old desktop, simply by turning on Google Sync.
Well, guess it isn't such a big deal as it seemed when I got wrapped up in it up until 9 last night.

My parents arrived home yesterday afternoon.
(Should also correct, they were actually helping Brian with his microwave fan, which involved drilling a hole and fixing the wires or something so that it could ventilate the house better.)
