dmxratedMom brought me over to GameStop after school, so that I could exchange my game disc for a better one. When I got home, I tested it, and the same problem was still present. Brian researched it online, and it turned out to be a glitch which results from returning from the Underground Channel right before that particular level.
Jake, at least for the most part, won't be on AIM anymore until June or July. He told me yesterday, but he did say that the PC in his hotel has MSN Messenger (which is now Windows Live Messenger). I downloaded that, and my screen name is now DMXrated01 (just like on AIM).
