While bringing my stuff back upstairs, starting with my bedsheets and clothes, I felt overheated not for the first time in my lined jeans, and took then to change into a pair of unlined jeans that I managed to fit back into again.

Seeing me wearing just that and one of my long-sleeved collar shirts when I was back in my bedroom, Mom started urging me to put on such things as a t-shirt underneath said collar shirt. I refused, because along with having just had to change into something cooler at just 7 or 8, and having overheated at work almost every shift these past two weeks, I could only imagine the day getting warmer, and also refused to put on my jacket, without anywhere to put it instead of having to repeatedly unzip that and take my wool hat off.

Shortly before Mom drove me out, Brian did tell me what he and others do in Massachusetts, and I did at least bring my hat with me.

Upon arriving at work, Mom spotted a motorcart, which I had previously mentioned prioritizing whenever I notice and then taking a breather, to drop me off at. I hopped on to ride inside even before clocking in, but its screen specified 15% of a charge (usually increments thereof until 100%). I got off to lean my hand down on the seat instead, a technique someone showed me to make them go faster at such a charge at which they crawl, but then Mom had come out to take a picture and asked me to hop back on.

Upon arriving inside, I went to Doreen's office to request a locker before clocking in. She asked me to come back during my lunch break, when she'd have had time to sort that out.

At Mom's advice, I have now been asking people first if they need help loading their goods.

One such person happened to be Nancy from down the street, who probably didn't recognize me right at first (especially with my new facial hair) before noticing my nametag. We chatted for a bit, and she told me what each of her kids have been doing lately, one of whom, like Marie, now lives in California, as a substitute teacher (has yet to become a regular one).

While I did take halftime to recieve a locker number and combination from Doreen, I managed to go my whole shift without having lunch, after having already had some cereal and some reheated steak and beans for breakfast, and then some yogurt and strawberries before heading out.

Mom toasted me a cinnamon bagel when we arrived home, while I moved the rest of my stuff upstairs and even filled the birdfeeder.

My nose was stuffed up all afternoon and night since arriving back home. Called into work sick upon waking up, and texted Mom afterwards.

She brought up some cold medicine after reading, and while it seems to have worked at least respiratorily, I do have some other symptoms now, and am going to take today just to read The Week (only read partway through the current issue) and Magical Girl Raising Project. (Been planning to continue looking over Rohan's work and start a new playthrough of Earthbound, with most changes I want likely in place now (just need to verify), but like with Getter Love!! after our Thanksgiving gathering last month, I don't think I'm up for that right now.)
