dmxratedSome back-and-forth with a previous freelancer on PeoplePerHour led me to download a set of non-cheated Mother 3 .sav files, along with a save editor on ROMhack.ing to clean the names up with. I could have done that from the start, but just playing the game from scratch seemed like it would be a lot more straightforward than when one thing started happening after another halfway through the game.
So far, though, I'm already getting closer and closer to implementing that one change, so I might as well just ride the momentum from here and learn something about M3-hacking. Other than that, this rules out the need for an entire playthrough of the game, allowing me to focus directly on my last planned change to Earthbound that I drafted up and had Jonathan look over. (Following that, he is also waiting on me to look over a bit of work he did on Kiratto Kaiketsu!, and I will probably check out an actual build he sent me before tucking into EB.)
